Our annual Geofest tournament is at the Lacey Regional Athletic Complex on September 13, from 9-5pm.
This is a C Team level tournament.
Team registration is closed.
See you next September!!
Game Format
Games start at 9:00 a.m. Fields will be set up by 8:30 a.m.
We expect to finish around 5:30 p.m. with each team playing 4 games.
Games to 15 points with a 75 min hard cap.
Gender ratio
This is a 4:3 tournament.
Captains can decide to change ratios or allow offense to call. We encourage 3:4 and accept 5:2. Please be considerate of the opposing team’s gender numbers and be willing to negotiate this issue. Gender ratios will be determined by a gen zone, determined by captains at the start of a game.
Timeouts
2 timeouts per game; you can use them anytime before the hard cap.
Hardcap
Two whistle blasts mark the hard cap. Only start another point if the game is tied. Hardcap goes on 75 minutes after the start of the game. (There is no soft cap)
Player Information
Water
The only source of water at the RAC is one water fountain/small spigot near the bathrooms. We will have some large jugs at tournament central but it’s still a good idea for players to come with several full water bottles to avoid long waits to refill.
Food
Frisbee central will have food including: fruit, bagels, peanut butter and jelly, cream cheese, and other Costco treats.
At the end of the tournament, we will have a hot grill ready to cook up all of your favorite summer grilling items at the picnic shelter. Olympia players will bring their favorite potluck sides to share. Feel free to stay and hang out for a while.
Please let the Tournament Director know about any dietary restrictions.
Injury Prevention and Treatment
We will have a licensed massage therapist available at the fields from 10am-3pm during the day.
We will have ice and wraps in case of injuries.
For acute injuries, urgent care is Providence ExpressCare (1350 Marvin Rd NE, Lacey, WA 98516) 1.1 miles back toward I-5 in the shops along the side of the Home Depot parking lot or Kaiser Permanente Olympia Medical Center (700 Lilly Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506) about 6 miles/20 minutes away.
General
No alcohol, tobacco, or illegal substances/acts on the fields.
Keep dogs and any other sidelines pets on a leash.
No amplified music. Singing is acceptable.
At the end of each game, record your scores at Frisbee Central. Text message is also acceptable.
Youth Game
This year we are offering a youth hat-style game in partnership with Tacoma's 253 Program. Players ages 8-12 can sign up to join a short clinic, then play with new friends in an exhibition game.
Participants should arrive around 10am and will likely be finished by noon.
Small snacks will be provided.
Wear your Ultimate Frisbee of Olympia shirt if you have one.
